SYNOPSIS

After the death of her mother, Natalia rebuilds her relationship with her father Maurice.

This film explores Natalia's journey to forgive her father, recognizing him to be an imperfect human. Meanwhile, Maurice goes on a parallel journey of getting to know his adult child who has alluded him. Both are learning to accept that one day their roles will reverse. It’s a meditation on love and loss, grief and healing. Ashes is an ode to parents and children.
